Neighborhood

I love walking down the creek to the beach and the walkway to Sea Cliff Beach Pier and looking out at the Shipwreck. Love sitting outside at Cafe Rio and ordering the grilled artichoke. This area is pretty mellow and the ocean really is a marine sanctuary. I always see seals by the shore and dolphins frolicking about and certain times of the year loads of whales. Free admission to Sea World out there and with the birds and everything it's like something out of National Geographic at times.

Transit

Not too much public transportation. Some bus access, Uber and Lyft are available, bring your bike, great area for walking. It's best seen with a car especially if you want to check out all the local activity including kayaking, whale watching, hiking, wine tasting, sailing, Nisene State Park, Monterey, Carmel, Moss Landing, Cabrillo College, UC Santa Cruz, Downtown Santa Cruz, and the Beach Boardwalk.

This was our 2nd time visiting with my dog. Everything was great! We love being able to walk on the beach for miles and relax. Everything was awesome.

Clean, cozy, comfortable little place right next to a freshwater creek and 5 minutes walk to a gorgeous beach! The studio felt private and peaceful, and had everything we needed for a few days stay. Liz is prompt, communicative and kind. Very dog friendly area too! Highly recommend.

We stayed at Liz's place for a few nights with our dogs. This place is an absolute gem! It's quiet, peaceful and cozy- perfect for a couple with fur babies. It's a short walk from the beach and there are a few sweet cafes and restaurants alongside the beach, making for a wonderful morning stroll and cafe stop. The cottage itself is small but mighty- there's everything you need to make a quick meal and the back patio is perfect for expanding the space and providing some outdoor time for the pups. We enjoyed how cozy the cottage felt without feeling as if we were tripping over each other (and we have two large dogs). This is a great spot for a cozy beach getaway!

Perfect spot for our long weekend stay with our pup. The unit was cozy and had everything we needed. The short walk to the beach and Pixie Deli was a plus. Liz was responsive and accommodating. Would recommend!

Great location !! Right near beautiful beach , parks, & other conveniences ! If you're looking to explore Santa Cruz & nearby areas it's ideal ! I went to Mt Madonna , all over Santa Cruz, Big Sur , many major parks & more ! Liz is very nice & accommodating! One tip I'd share is - the streets in area are very dark n turns for it come up quick , so take your time finding the place if it's in the evening hours ! I passed it a few times lol bc going too fast & google said I was there , it was still up a few houses !! Def going back 🥰 luv this area ❣️

Liz's place is a couple blocks from the beach and led to a brisk morning walk and search for treasures. Loved watching the pelicans glide over the ocean's wave.! Her place is cozy and fun. She has a great sence of humor with many fun sayings posted. The bed was comfy. Her place was warm. And there was plenty warm water for a morning shower! she even had Baskin Robbins ice cream in the freezer!!! The area there is quiet. Thanks Liz for a lovely stay.!!

Liz responded to my booking in the middle of the night which was not expected. She was very responsive to any questions and very good at including all the details about the property. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The bed is the most important to me and it had comfortable linens with high quality pillows. It was very comfortable and allowed a good nights sleep. The space was private without neighbors sharing a wall. I did not hear any other people and felt I could play my acoustic guitar without bothering anyone. There are appliances, in house, to cook food, and there are good local restaurants. I stayed one night as I was traveling through. I will stay here again on my return trip. I would recommend it to others.
